Programs and Information for Tweens & Teens
- grades 6th - 12th -
Please be aware that children under the age of 10 are NOT permitted to be in the library without a parent/guardian.
You MUST be 14 years old OR older to be considered as a guardian for a sibling.
Please refer to our Library's policy to more details.
After-School time at the library tends to be super busy, please help Miss Emily and the library staff by following a few simple rules:
No running OR hiding within the book stacks.
Please use indoor voices, as others are studying, and tutoring.
Please DO NOT eat/drink at the computers.
Snacks are allowed within the library, but PLEASE help us keep our library clean & throw away your trash! Only to be eaten at the tables.
Please respect all others & the library!
Do you NEED Volunteer Hours?
Are you in 6th grade & up?
Miss Emily is accepting applications for volunteers to the 2019-2020 school year!
Adopt A Shelf:
Volunteers will select a section of shelves in the children's room and keep them in order(shelf reading). Miss Emily will help you pick a section that fits within your time commitment.
Each volunteer would be paired with a child who needs help with their homework.
(Grades 7-12th are able to register)
*Special Projects TBA*
Each volunteer could help Miss Emily prepare, clean-up, and/or help CHILDREN with the crafts.
Volunteers will be paired with a reader (one-on-one)
ages 5 and up.
Miss Emily will help you and your buddy find reading materials.
Volunteers could read the story aloud with the child and/or let the child read the book aloud (October - April)
